KASIC Office Hours

KASIC is proud to offer office hours to discuss topics related to antimicrobial stewardship. Office hours are held every Thursday afternoon from 12:00 – 1:00 pm EST and are intended for healthcare professionals so they may drop in and ask questions, seek guidance, or discuss concerns about antimicrobial use in their facility or organization. Drop in any time during the hour and spend as little as 5 minutes or take the full hour to chat with the experts. There is no fee to attend office hours and they are open to everyone, regardless of KASIC membership.

During office hours, attendees can discuss a variety of topics related to antimicrobial stewardship, such as:

  • Appropriate use of antimicrobial medications
  • Guidelines and protocols for prescribing and administering antimicrobials
  • Strategies for reducing unnecessary antimicrobial use
  • Best practices for monitoring and reporting antimicrobial use and resistance
  • Updates on new developments and emerging issues related to antimicrobial stewardship
  • Patient cases and patient related topics

The goal of office hours is to provide a forum for discussion, education, and support for healthcare professionals involved in antimicrobial stewardship. This is a valuable opportunity for attendees to connect with experts in the field and learn from their experiences, as well as to network and collaborate with peers.
