What are Clinical Education Pearls?
KASIC Clinical Pearls are an educational series consisting of brief, one page bits of free standing, practical and clinically relevant information. The goal of each pearl is to convey one idea, concept, or fact that is useful in day-to-day practice, but is not widely known, understood, published, or taught. They are developed using the best available evidence and experts’ clinical knowledge and experience. Each pearl is written by a clinical pharmacy specialist in infectious diseases or an infectious diseases pharmacy resident and further reviewed by the KASIC Lead and Co-Lead.
