Education is a CDC core element of antimicrobial stewardship programs. Education can be delivered through many formal and informal formats including didactic presentations, poster messaging, flyers and newsletter, or electronic communication. Education assistance can look like the following:

  • Basic Principles of Antimicrobial Stewardship Designed for All Skill Levels and Roles 
  • How to Start or Grow an Antimicrobial Stewardship Program 
  • Disease State Education: All Education Levels and Professional Designations (Nurse,                Pharmacist, Physician)
  • Consultative Disease State Education with KASIC Team: tailor education to your organization and role to support good practice in antimicrobial prescribing 
  • Office Hours: hosted every Thursday from 12:00 – 1:00 pm EST and open to all roles interested in antimicrobial stewardship.
