Explanation: CLSI breakpoints were updated for aminoglycosides. Gentamicin should no longer be used for infections due to P. aeruginosa. Amikacin use for P. aeruginosa should be limited to urinary tract infections. Some organisms that used to be susceptible to aminoglycosides would now be considered nonsusceptible.
