KASIC Antibiogram

KASIC Antibiogram

2021 Data

Antibiograms are an aggregate of antimicrobial susceptibility for different organisms to antimicrobials over a period of time. Antibiograms are important tools for antimicrobial stewardship programs to select appropriate empiric antibiotics.

The KASIC Advisory Board has compiled an antibiogram from 12 hospitals across the state of Kentucky. The full report includes weighted mean susceptibilities as well as standard deviations for many gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.

This data may help inform practices at hospitals that do not have the resources or volume to create individual antibiograms. Alternatively, these data may be used to compare and contrast a hospitals antibiogram to the mean susceptibility rates seen within Kentucky.
